Jungle Padel: Partnering with Book & Go to build a custom sports booking app

Presented by Book & Go

jungle padel working with book&go story review

In the heart of Bali,  Jungle Padel was the first padel club to open in the touristy Canggu area.

Since the opening day it was a huge success. It would be fair to credit them to the incredible padel boom the island experienced afterwards.

As actually, after falling for the sport while playing at Jungle, the same early community of players were to go start different Padel clubs after on.

Before Book & Go

Jungle first launched with TPC Matchpoint to manage their booking system. TPC offered a white-labeled app that suited them well in the beginning.

However, with the high growth that Jungle started experiencing, the constraints of a default app that couldn’t be customized began causing pain points for the Jungle team.

Slow email support, with no chance of accommodating the changes Jungle required, led them to look for a more customized approach.

The challenge

The first thing Jungle wanted to optimize was the booking experience. This included not only the layout and ease of use but also the branding. With template “white-labeled” apps, you can usually only change the logo and the color of the buttons. With the Book & Go approach, we can truly work on the aesthetics and make it feel like your brand.

Too many clicks

For each time you needed to search for 60 or 90 minutes you would need to click on the check availability button.

Cluttered user experience

Layout was not optimized and not user friendly.

1 click to book

With just one click you can either book or open the booking to be an open match.

Open Matches

One of the biggest hits after the new app was rolled out wast the Open Matches System. We specifically designed the matches for it to be 1-click away of the main booking experience.

Sexy

It’s just clean and straightforward to join a match.

Before we rolled out the new app, Jungle Padel tried to use the open matches of TPC Matchpoint. But the user experience was so cluttered that it didn’t work.

When we launched the new app with Book & Go technology, we had instantly more than 300+ open matches in a week.

Nowadays we do more than 2.000+ open matches per month, being the biggest community of players in Bali.
